Overview
Afori is a back-office automation platform for insurance brokers, built around AI agents that operate directly within email workflows. The platform converts unstructured broker emails and documents into structured cases and tasks, reducing the time brokers spend on routine administrative work.
The product integrates as an AI Sidebar inside the Outlook inbox, where it classifies incoming messages, generates case summaries, drafts responses, and triggers follow-up automations with a single click. Its AI agents are trained on insurance-specific knowledge including German GDV tariff data and regulatory requirements, making it suited to the complexity of broker workflows.
Afori launched in October 2025 after a stealth period, backed by EUR 4M in pre-seed funding led by General Catalyst. The company was founded by Fabian Wesemann (co-founder of wefox) and Sergi Banos (former wefox CTO and first employee), and targets the German-speaking insurance broker market as its initial focus.
