Overview

Accusoft is a software development company specializing in content processing, conversion, and automation technologies. Founded in 1991 as Pegasus Imaging Corporation in Tampa, Florida, Accusoft has spent over 30 years building developer toolkits and APIs that enable enterprise applications to capture, view, process, and convert documents and images at scale, backed by more than 40 patents.

In July 2025, Accusoft was acquired by Apryse, a leading document processing platform company backed by Thoma Bravo and Silversmith Capital Partners. Accusoft now operates as part of the Apryse portfolio, which spans the full document lifecycle from capture and extraction through collaboration, rendering, and archival.
