ZA Insure is a digital-only virtual insurance carrier licensed by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, offering life insurance, health, and accident products exclusively through its online platform. The company is a joint venture between ZhongAn Technologies International Group and Fubon Life Insurance (Hong Kong). As of December 2024, it holds the No.1 ranking among Hong Kong virtual insurers by premium income for long-term business.
The company operates without intermediary broker commissions, which allows it to offer premiums reported to be 30-50% lower than traditional channels. Policy issuance, underwriting, and claims management are handled entirely through digital channels. Coverage for life products extends up to HKD 10 million, with milestone-based underwriting waivers tied to life events such as marriage, childbirth, or property purchase.
ZA Insure carries HKD 1 billion in paid-up capital. The parent entity, ZA Group (ZhongAn Technologies International), raised USD 265 million in total, including a USD 35 million Series A round in June 2024 led by EQT.
