Digital insurance management platform for insurers and intermediaries across Africa

Visit Website

Overview

WazInsure is a cloud-based insurance management SaaS platform for insurance companies and intermediaries operating in Africa. The platform automates the full insurance value chain -- from consumer onboarding and policy administration through claims handling and renewal -- and is white-labelled for insurers to deploy under their own brand.

Founded in 2017 by Winnie Badiah (formerly of Deloitte Kenya, AON, and MicroEnsure), WazInsure operates as a B2B solutions provider targeting carriers, MGA-equivalents, and distribution intermediaries across the African market. The platform serves as a single hub where policyholders can track all their policies, while enabling insurers to communicate transparently with agents and clients.

The company was backed through accelerator programs including Village Capital and Traction Camp, and in 2017 was ranked 76th in the KPMG/H2 Ventures Fintech100 Global Innovators Report -- the only Kenyan company on the list that year. WazInsure supports distribution of micro-insurance products to underserved populations, illustrated by the Maisha Cover product underwritten by Capex Life and launched on the platform.
