Tameen is a retail insurance brokerage operating as a mobile application in Kuwait, serving individual consumers who buy and manage auto and travel coverage. Founded in 2019 and based in Kuwait City, the company describes itself as the first insurance app built for the Kuwaiti market and states plans to expand its aggregator model into other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Rather than underwriting policies itself, Tameen aggregates offerings from several licensed Kuwaiti carriers and distributes comprehensive, third-party, and non-recourse auto insurance alongside travel insurance through a single app, available on the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery. The company reports more than 26,000 app users. Beyond policy sales, the platform covers the full claims lifecycle for auto customers, including accident and compensation claims filing, vehicle repair dispatch, replacement-car requests, and roadside assistance, plus adjacent services such as vehicle maintenance booking and vehicle registration support.

The mobile app was built by an outside development firm rather than an in-house engineering team, consistent with the company's small reported headcount. Tameen has not disclosed external funding and appears to operate on a bootstrapped basis. It is a separate company from Tameeni, a larger, independently operated Saudi Arabia-based insurance comparison platform.
