Souqalmal

Souqalmal is a consumer insurance and financial product comparison brokerage serving individuals across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The platform aggregates over 3,200 personal finance products, allowing users to compare and apply for insurance, banking, lending, and telecom products from a single interface. Founded in 2012 by Ambareen Musa, the company has served over 600,000 customers.

The platform covers car insurance, health insurance, and travel insurance alongside personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, bank accounts, and telecom services. It was among the first comparison sites in the UAE to offer online health insurance plans, in partnership with Takaful Emarat. For car insurance buyers, Souqalmal offers a monthly installment option -- "Insure Now, Pay Monthly" -- with no processing fee.

Following a Series A and Series B totaling over USD 11 million from investors including GoCompare Group, Riyad Taqnia Fund, and UAE Exchange Group, SHUAA Capital acquired a majority stake in March 2022. Post-acquisition development focuses on expanding the platform into a comprehensive personal financial management tool integrating financial education components.
