Overview

Soter Insure is a specialty insurance carrier regulated in Bermuda and Dubai, providing coverage products for institutional participants in the digital asset and Web3 sector. Founded in 2024 and incubated by Further Ventures and WebN Group, the carrier targets underserved capacity in crypto insurance, covering risks tied to digital asset custody, blockchain validator operations, and decentralized finance infrastructure. The company is authorized by the Bermuda Monetary Authority under the Bermuda Insurance Act 1978 and holds a Category 4 license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority. Offices operate in Bermuda, Abu Dhabi, London, New York, and Dubai.

Coverage products can be denominated in either fiat currency or native digital assets, including Ethereum. This dual-denomination structure allows token-native clients to maintain yield profiles while hedging exposure to fiat market volatility. In March 2026, the carrier issued what it describes as the first Ethereum-denominated slashing insurance policy, developed in collaboration with Galaxy Digital.

The company closed a Series A round in February 2025 at an undisclosed amount, led by Galaxy Digital with participation from Brevan Howard Digital, Karatage, Token Bay, and Pharsalus. In July 2026, Soter announced the first close of a Series B round with a target final close totaling USD 23.5M plus 500 BTC and 2,000 ETH, led again by Galaxy Digital with new participation from Coinbase Ventures and Franklin Templeton.
