Sherpacourtage

Sherpacourtage is a digital insurance brokerage serving individuals and businesses in Cote d'Ivoire and, per its own marketing, the broader CIMA insurance zone of West Africa. The platform lets customers compare and subscribe to policies online, an alternative to the paper-based process still common among traditional brokers in the region.

The brokerage is operated by J3A Finance, a licensed insurance broker (license n. 0122, issued by Ivorian authorities MEF/DGTCP/DA in March 2022), itself a subsidiary of J3A Partners AM, a UK- and France-registered alternative investment manager that backs early-stage fintech, insurtech, and healthtech ventures in Europe and West Africa. Sherpacourtage places policies through a panel of roughly 150 insurance companies and reports serving more than 100,000 clients, spanning personal lines such as auto/moto, health, life, home, travel, and individual accident, alongside professional liability and multi-risk professional coverage for businesses.

Alongside its web platform, live since at least 2022, Sherpacourtage launched a native Android app in Abidjan in September 2025 that extends the brokerage's digital distribution to fire, accident, and miscellaneous-risk (IARD) as well as life products. The app supports 24/7 policy comparison and subscription, contract delivery by WhatsApp or email, card/cash/mobile-money payment, and real-time claims declaration and tracking with photo capture.
