Risk Placement Services (RPS) is a wholesale insurance brokerage and managing general agent serving independent insurance agents and brokers across the United States. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, RPS operates more than 80 branch offices and has grown into one of the largest wholesale broker/MGA operations in the country by premium volume. RPS is a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG).

RPS gives independent agents and brokers access to specialty markets, binding authority, and Lloyd's coverholder capacity across commercial, professional, and personal lines. The company has expanded through acquisition of independent wholesale agencies, including TAGA, MacNeill Group, and G.A. Mavon, while continuing to operate under the RPS brand.

RPS built two proprietary digital tools that differentiate it from traditional wholesale distribution: RPSSmallBusiness.com, a quote-bind-issue portal for small and mid-size business coverage live since 2014, and CyberCLICK, a policy-comparison tool that lets agents compare cyber liability quotes from multiple carriers side by side. RPS also partners with TrustedChoice.com to extend distribution of its cyber liability products to agents outside its direct network.
