The company operates under its primary Promis brand for legal professionals and a dedicated Promed offering for medical and paramedical clients. Distribution is fully digital, combining an online comparison and advisory platform with direct access to dedicated advisors rather than call-center routing. Promis carries endorsements from professional associations including ACE (Avocats, ensemble) and AEA, giving it institutional reach within the French legal community.

In November 2025, Promis was acquired by APRIL Entreprise, the direct brokerage subsidiary of APRIL Group focused on social protection consulting for liberal professions. Prior to acquisition, Bpifrance (France public investment bank) had provided financial support. The company received a Fintech100 2025 ranking at position 72 and held a 5.0/5.0 Google rating across 164 client reviews as of 2024.
