+Simple is a digital wholesale insurance brokerage (grossiste en assurance) serving small and medium-sized enterprises, professionals, craftspeople, and merchants across Western Europe. Founded in 2015 in Marseille, France by Anthony Jouannau, Eric Mignot, and Salah Hamida, the company distributes professional P&C insurance exclusively through a network of over 8,000 partner brokers and intermediaries rather than serving end clients directly.
The company covers six European markets -- France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, and additional EMEA territories -- with over 30 insurance products across 1,200+ professional activity categories. Product lines include 10-year civil liability (RC Decennale) for construction trades, commercial lines for retail and commerce, and professional liability for service sector businesses.
The core technology is a proprietary Robot-Broker AI platform that automates the full underwriting and placement workflow. Partner brokers access the platform through a digital extranet, enabling tailored insurance packages to be generated, customized, signed, and paid in approximately five minutes from a short questionnaire. As of 2025, +Simple serves over 200,000 policyholders and is ranked France's 10th largest broker grossiste by L'Argus de l'Assurance. A EUR 90 million financing round led by KKR in March 2022 funded three simultaneous acquisitions of intermediaries in France, Germany, and Italy.
