Novum Underwriting Partners is a commercial and specialty insurance MGA and wholesale broker that distributes coverage through retail agents and brokers across the United States. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Independence, Ohio, the company operates a proprietary digital marketplace called Novum Online that connects retail agents with underwriters and carrier capacity for real-time quoting, policy submission, and account management.

The company offers a broad suite of commercial and specialty lines, including workers compensation, business owners policy (BOP), commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, professional liability, cyber, EPLI, directors and officers, and crime coverage. Novum underwrites through partnerships with over 50 carriers, including Accelerant, AIG, Allied World, AmeriSafe, AmTrust, Chubb, CNA, Great American, Hiscox, Liberty Mutual, Markel, Nationwide, Starr, Travelers, and others. The company also offers delegated underwriting for surety bonds in Canada through its SuretyPro program.

In August 2025, Australian insurance group Steadfast Group (ASX: SDF) acquired a majority stake in Novum, with plans to use the platform as its program development and management vehicle in the United States. Founder and CEO Christopher Longo retained equity ownership and continues to lead the company. As of early 2026, Novum Online has attracted over 7,000 registered agents to its marketplace, representing its primary distribution channel.
