MyBrown

MyBrown is a direct-to-consumer pet insurance carrier licensed in South Korea, focused exclusively on the pet insurance vertical. The company received approval from the Financial Services Commission of South Korea in June 2025, becoming the first entity in the country dedicated solely to pet insurance coverage. Commercial operations launched the same month, with products sold through a mobile application targeting urban pet owners.

The carrier's platform is built around digital policy management and real-time claims processing. Its Live Claim feature enables policyholders to submit claims via QR code at partner veterinary hospitals, with claim review and payment processed immediately after treatment. The platform connects to a network of partner hospitals across South Korea through an API-based integration that enables this end-to-end digital claims workflow.

MyBrown closed a Series A round in December 2025, raising USD 11.5 million plus KRW 17 billion in additional capital from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Korea Development Bank, Green Cross Veterinary Products, and Woorien. The company reached 20,000 policyholders as of June 2026, approximately 10 months after commercial launch.
