Mosaic Insurance is a global specialty carrier that writes across seven lines -- cyber, transactional liability, political risk, political violence, financial institutions, professional liability, and environmental liability -- operating Lloyd's Syndicate 1609 and wholly-owned underwriting agencies in Bermuda, the UK, the US, Canada, Europe, the UAE, and Asia. The company launched in February 2021 with backing from Golden Gate Capital and has since grown to approximately 200-270 employees across more than 20 office locations globally.

The company operates a 100% cloud-native technology platform built in partnership with DXC Technology, using machine-learning algorithms and natural language processing to support underwriting in specialty lines. The platform enables AI-assisted submission intake, API-based capital connections, and straight-through processing through an open API gateway integrated with Lloyd's data systems. Policy administration runs on DXC Assure for Commercial and Specialty; rating and pricing uses Aon Tyche software; advanced analytics run on AWS infrastructure. Mosaic also partnered with Munich Re to develop aiSure, a branded product covering AI developers and vendors against defined AI performance failures.

Mosaic is privately held, with Golden Gate Capital holding a majority stake and Blue Owl Capital (formerly Atalaya Capital Management) and Culpeper Capital Partners LLC holding minority positions following a strategic growth capital round in August 2023. The company writes on behalf of more than 40 top-rated insurers globally as capacity providers alongside Lloyd's Syndicate 1609.
