The company operates under two OJK-licensed legal entities -- PT Asuransi Jiwa Moneeinsure for life insurance and PT Asuransi Umum Moneeinsure for general insurance -- and distributes its products primarily through the Shopee e-commerce platform and the broader Monee financial services ecosystem. Founded in 2023 as SeaInsure, the company rebranded to MoneeInsure in November 2025 following OJK approvals under regulatory decrees KEP-606/PD.02/2025 (life) and KEP-602/PD.02/2025 (general).

The carrier integrates with Sea Limited's technology infrastructure to deliver digital-first underwriting and policy issuance. Distribution relies on Shopee's large Indonesian user base to reach customers outside traditional insurance channels, covering credit protection, accident coverage, critical illness, term life, motor vehicle, property, and liability insurance. The underwriting team received an Outstanding Project Award in 2025 for an efficiency initiative, and the company has implemented AI-enhanced underwriting practices.

PT Asuransi Jiwa Moneeinsure reported gross premium revenue of IDR 218.61 billion as of October 2025, representing 49% year-over-year growth. Sea Limited, the parent company listed on NYSE under ticker SE, provides capital allocation for the business. MoneeInsure received the Bisnis Indonesia Financial Award 2024 for Best Performance Life Insurance Company and Most Efficient Insurance in its asset class.
