Momento Seguros is a direct-to-consumer auto insurance carrier licensed in Mexico under the Comision Nacional de Seguros y Fianzas (CNSF), offering personal vehicle and motorcycle coverage entirely through digital channels. Founded in 2021 by Lois Rogel Vence, Leon Bartolome Carreno, and Andres Guerrero Alvarez -- veterans of McKinsey and major consumer companies -- the company began active operations in July 2023 in Mexico City and has since expanded coverage to Estado de Mexico, Nuevo Leon, Queretaro, Puebla, Hidalgo, Morelos, Coahuila, and Tlaxcala. It targets the large uninsured segment of the Mexican auto market: of approximately 55 million registered vehicles in Mexico, over 30 million are estimated to lack insurance coverage.

The company uses AI-driven risk modeling and personalized pricing algorithms to quote and bind policies, with policyholders able to purchase, pay, manage, and file claims entirely via the mobile app (iOS and Android) or website. Flexible payment options include annual, quarterly, and monthly plans, with cash, card, and bank transfer accepted. Momento reports an average of 8 minutes for auto-adjustment resolution, 42 minutes for emergency response, and 24 hours for claim resolution. The platform also supports independent insurance agents through a separate Momento Agentes portal, with digital onboarding and transparent commissions. An add-on Momento+ membership provides vehicle concierge and maintenance services for active policyholders.

In April 2025, AM Best affirmed a Financial Strength Rating of B (Fair) and a Mexico National Scale Rating of a+.MX (Excellent) with a stable outlook, citing strong balance sheet fundamentals relative to risk exposure. As of September 2025, Momento reported over 100,000 active drivers and double-digit monthly growth. The company is backed by reinsurers Swiss Re and Patria Re, has raised USD 20.75M across a Seed and Series A round, and expects to reach profitability by 2027.
