Momento Seguros

Momento Seguros is a direct-to-consumer digital auto and motorcycle insurance carrier licensed by Mexico's National Insurance and Bond Commission (CNSF). Founded in 2021, the company began underwriting operations in July 2023 and currently covers policyholders across ten Mexican states, including Mexico City, Estado de Mexico, Nuevo Leon, Queretaro, Puebla, Hidalgo, Morelos, Coahuila, and Tlaxcala.

The platform handles policy quoting, binding, payments, and claims reporting through a mobile app (iOS and Android) and a web interface. Its proprietary underwriting engine applies artificial intelligence across more than 20 variables to support customer segmentation, pricing optimization, and fraud detection. Policyholders can select monthly, quarterly, or annual payment terms; monthly subscribers can edit or pause coverage mid-term through the app.

As of September 2025, Momento reported more than 10,000 active policyholders and a claims ratio below the Mexican market average. The company holds an AM Best rating of a+.MX (Excellent). Total funding through Series A stands at approximately USD 20.75M, backed by HSCM Ventures, Foundation Capital, Hedosophia, American Family Ventures, Picus Capital, Clocktower Technology Ventures, Gilgamesh, and Y Combinator.
