MICIN, Inc. is a Tokyo-based digital health company that operates across telemedicine, decentralized clinical trials, digital therapeutics, and insurance. Founded in November 2015 by CEO Seigo Hara (a University of Tokyo-trained physician with an MBA from Stanford), the company takes its name from MYCIN, a pioneering medical AI system developed at Stanford in the 1970s. MICIN operates a wholly owned insurance subsidiary, MICIN Insurance Inc., that offers personalized coverage products directly to consumers.
