MENA InsurTech Association

The MENA InsurTech Association is a membership-based non-profit industry association dedicated to developing the insurtech ecosystem across the Middle East and North Africa region. Powered by QIC Group (Qatar Insurance Company), the organization connects regional insurance incumbents, insurtech startups, venture capital firms, technology partners, and knowledge institutions. Its activities focus on health insurance, lifestyle insurance, mobility insurance, and travel insurance verticals where significant innovation is occurring across the region.

The association operates several programs including an annual InsurTech Summit, startup accelerator initiatives, and an annual startup competition. As of 2026, it expanded its mandate to include FinTech alongside InsurTech, launching the MENA InsurTech & FinTech Summit to support broader digital financial services transformation. The organization also runs MITalks speaker series and a Capstone Workshop Program in partnership with Columbia University SIPA.

Member organizations include 50+ insurtechs, 40+ insurance companies, 40+ venture capital firms, and the annual summit attracts 1,500+ participants from across the region and internationally. Salem Al Mannai, Group CEO of QIC Group, serves as Chairman of the association. Notable members include Yallacompare, Wellx, Beema, Amenli, and Sehteq.
