Lumesia Insurance

Lumesia Insurance is a specialty insurance brokerage serving commercial vehicle operators and logistics professionals in Italy. The brand operates under FAI Service Soc. Coop., an Italian insurance intermediary supervised by IVASS (Istituto per la Vigilanza sulle Assicurazioni), and distributes motor and financial protection insurance to transport sector clients through a fully digital platform.

The company covers two main product areas: motor policies for trucks, vans, and trailers, and financial protection services such as legal protection, road assistance, and capacity insurance. FAI Service, the Italian trucking association cooperative, provides the client network of approximately 9,000 member businesses, while the platform handles policy subscription and management digitally without requiring in-person broker interaction.

Lumesia Insurance was built in partnership with Lokky, an Italian insurtech technology provider that supplies the underlying platform. The service launched commercially in March 2023 after a development and testing phase beginning in October 2022. The MyLumesia self-service portal gives policyholders direct access to policy management, renewal reminders, and fleet records across multiple devices.
