Klare is a digital insurance brokerage serving individual consumers in Chile, offering comparison and purchase of insurance products from multiple carriers through a self-service online platform. The company was established in 2019 by Banco Santander Chile as a digital-native distribution channel designed to expand consumer access to insurance, particularly among younger demographics.
The brokerage distributes life, life and savings, health, dental, oncology, and bicycle insurance sourced from Chilean insurance carriers. Customers answer a brief questionnaire and receive tailored product comparisons, then complete the purchase online with 24/7 availability.
Klare's technology infrastructure is built on Digital Insurance Group's (DIG) omnichannel distribution platform, supplied by the Amsterdam-based insurtech provider. This includes core middleware, API-based multi-carrier integration, embedded identity verification, and payment processing. Klare was among the eight founding members of Insurtechile, Chile's insurtech industry association, established in February 2021.
