Keystone Insurers Group
Connecting independent insurance agencies with the markets and resources to compete and grow.
Overview
Keystone Insurers Group is an independent insurance agency network headquartered in Pennsylvania that provides market access, technology tools, and operational resources to independent property and casualty and employee benefits agencies across the United States.
Founded in 1983 when four central Pennsylvania agencies joined forces during a hard insurance market, the organization expanded over four decades to serve more than 350 independent agency partners across 31 states. The network offers members access to preferred carrier relationships, risk management support, group benefits programs, financial services offerings, education and training, and field management services. In 2024, Keystone Insurers Group was acquired by Keystone Agency Partners (KAP), a broker-network platform co-founded in 2020 with Bain Capital Credit. In July 2025, Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake in KAP, which now ranks 24th among the largest brokers in the United States and manages more than USD 8 billion in annual premium. The organization operates its primary digital presence at mykeystone.com following the rebrand.
The network operates a franchise model enabling intellectual capital sharing among member agencies. Partner portal access is provided through a Salesforce-hosted platform, and Vertafore integration is available for agency management workflows. The combined platform reported revenue of USD 485 million in 2025.
