Italian Insurtech Association - IIA

Italian Insurtech Association (IIA) is a trade association and non-profit organization focused on insurance technology innovation, serving carriers, brokers, intermediaries, technology providers, and professionals across the Italian insurance market. Founded in January 2020 and headquartered in Milan, the association brings together all segments of the insurance supply chain to advance the adoption of new technologies in Italian insurance.

IIA delivers programs spanning executive and professional education (TEA academy, InsurTech Master), a compliance desk for regulatory guidance, a data repository of research reports and white papers, and nine specialized chapters covering topics including HealthTech, digital bancassurance, anti-fraud and cybersecurity, startups, open and embedded insurance, investments, RegTech, technology and data, and international best practices. The IIA Seal provides a quality mark for qualifying members or products.

As of May 2026, the association counts 207 affiliated organizations, including 11 senior members and 35 startups. Governance is organized through specialized chapters, each addressing a distinct segment of the insurtech landscape. IIA coordinates with Italian and international institutions to promote regulatory dialogue and publishes annual research on insurtech investment levels and digital transformation metrics.
