INSURTECHNY

InsurTech NY is an industry community organization focused on accelerating the adoption of technology within the insurance sector, serving carriers, brokers, investors, and startups across the greater New York area. Founded in 2019 by Tony Lew and David Gritz, the organization acts as a central meeting point for the regional insurtech ecosystem.

The organization runs a range of programs including an annual flagship conference, a startup competition, a corporate innovation program called InsurTech Match, executive roundtables, webinars, and an MGA Lab. The Spring Conference, now in its eighth year, draws over 1,000 attendees annually and hosts the largest insurtech startup competition on the East Coast, featuring a prize pool valued at USD 200,000.

InsurTech NY also operates a venture fund arm, InsurTech Fund, which invests in early-stage insurtech startups from seed through Series A. The fund holds 28+ portfolio companies across three categories: Insurance Distributors, Technology Enablers, and Adjacencies. Partners include 20+ recognized reinsurers, carriers, and brokers across P&C, life and annuity, and specialty lines.
