INSRD is a commercial insurance and risk management brokerage serving mid-market and enterprise businesses in fast-growing industries, based in Berlin, Germany.

Founded in 2023 by John Ismailoglu and Stefan Balg, the company is registered as an insurance broker under Germany's Gewerbeordnung (Section 34d, paragraph 1) and operates as a broker/MGA-style hybrid, pairing advisory services with its own technology layer rather than functioning as a conventional retail brokerage. Ismailoglu brings close to two decades of insurance experience across carrier, agency, and brokerage roles in New York and Berlin.

The company's core offering is the Protect & Connect platform, a digital client portal covering policy and document management, claims submission and tracking, and ongoing risk monitoring, combined with workflow automation and AI-driven risk intelligence intended to keep coverage aligned with a client's changing risk profile as the business grows. INSRD raised a EUR 500K pre-seed round in March 2024 (about USD 1.14M total raised) from a group of ecosystem angel investors, including a former Getsafe executive.
