Overview
INSIA is an independent insurance brokerage serving individuals and businesses in Slovakia.
The company operates through a network of roughly 370 subordinate financial agents across dozens of offices nationwide, offering personal and business insurance lines including vehicle, property, travel, liability, business interruption, cyber, and key-employee coverage, alongside mortgage advisory and pension savings products. Agents in the network retain ownership of their client relationships rather than working as employees of a centralized agency.
INSIA runs YETI, a proprietary policy and client management platform built for its broker network, along with client-facing mobile apps for auto insurance (AutoMobil), property insurance (DOMOV), and an insurer directory (Poistovne). The Slovak network traces to 2005, when the founder of Czech parent company INSIA a.s. (founded 1992) partnered with a Slovakia-based co-founder to launch a sister network there. From 2011 to 2022, INSIA was part of Marsh, the global insurance broker; UNILINK Group, the largest insurance distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, acquired INSIA in November 2022. Group-wide across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania, INSIA serves approximately 500,000 clients through roughly 1,300 partners across 450 offices, intermediating more than EUR 100 million in premium annually.
