IASA
Advancing insurance accounting, finance, systems, and technology through education, community, and professional development.
Overview
IASA (Insurance Accounting and Systems Association) is a non-profit trade association serving insurance professionals in accounting, finance, systems, and technology. Founded in 1928, the organization connects practitioners at insurance carriers, technology solution providers, regulatory bodies, and financial services firms across the United States through education programs, chapter events, and its annual conference.
IASA operates 20+ local chapters and hosts IASA Xchange, its annual conference and tradeshow held each June. The event features CPE-eligible sessions across tracks covering accounting, finance, technology, enterprise risk management, and executive leadership, alongside a tradeshow floor and the IASA IMPACT Awards ceremony. IASA is registered as a CPE provider through NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy). In October 2023, IASA affiliated with The Institutes, a not-for-profit risk management and insurance education organization, and now operates as a business unit from The Institutes campus in Malvern, PA.
Membership encompasses Property and Casualty, Life, Health, Fraternal, and HMO carriers, as well as insurance technology solution providers, regulators, and financial services organizations. The association brings together CFOs, controllers, actuaries, and IT professionals with a shared interest in insurance finance and technology disciplines.
