Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is the life insurance arm of Guardian Holdings Limited, the largest insurance group in the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean. Incorporated on December 30, 1980, Guardian Life of the Caribbean was established to absorb the Trinidad and Tobago portfolio of Jamaica Mutual and has grown into the largest life insurance provider in the Caribbean region. The company manages over 250,000 policies and assets in excess of USD 3.5 billion, serving customers across 21 countries in the Caribbean basin. Guardian Holdings traces its roots to 1847, making it one of the oldest insurance organizations in the Caribbean.
