Great American Financial Resources, Inc. (GAFRI) is the life insurance and annuity holding subsidiary of American Financial Group (AFG), headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. GAFRI was formed in 1992 as a successor to American Annuity Group, consolidating the annuity and life insurance operations of AFG. Its flagship life carrier, Great American Life Insurance Company, began marketing products in 1959. GAFRI serves individuals and institutional clients with a broad range of retirement and protection products distributed through banks, broker-dealers, independent agents, and financial institutions.
