Overview
Frani is a digital insurance brokerage and comparison marketplace serving individual consumers in Georgia. Operated by Insurance Broker Frani LLC, it holds an insurance brokerage license (registration N012056) granted by Georgia's LEPL Insurance State Supervision Service in October 2022, and lets users compare quotes across multiple partner insurers and purchase a policy directly within the platform rather than being redirected to a carrier's site.
The platform spans nine insurance lines: travel insurance, mandatory travel insurance for visitors to Georgia, pet insurance, motor third-party liability (TPL), health insurance, property insurance, international TPL for cross-border travel to Armenia, critical illness insurance, and casco (comprehensive motor) coverage. Quotes are sourced from six partner insurers: Aldagi, Ardi Insurance, GPI Holding, Imedi L, Irao Insurance, and Wizer.
Frani distributes through its website and a native mobile app on Google Play, and is piloting a login-gated AI assistant feature still in beta. It launched in 2023 with travel insurance only and has since expanded into a multi-line marketplace. Growth to date has been funded through Georgian public and private-sector startup support rather than venture capital, including two grants from the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), program backing from Startuperi (a TBC Bank initiative) and Invest in Georgia, and a Mastercard award.
