FairConnect
Connected insurance platform delivering IoT telematics and usage-based insurance solutions for European carriers
Overview
FairConnect is a telematics and connected insurance platform for property and casualty carriers in Europe. The company develops white-label IoT and smartphone-based solutions that allow insurers to build usage-based insurance (UBI) programs, improve policyholder engagement, and enhance risk assessment through real-time behavioral data.
The platform covers two core verticals -- motor and property insurance. On the motor side, FairConnect collects driving behavior data via mobile SDK and IoT devices, enabling carriers to price policies based on actual driving patterns, coordinate roadside assistance, and support claims processing. The property offering integrates smart home IoT devices for risk detection and monitoring. Both products are delivered as white-label SaaS with RESTful API integrations into carrier systems.
Founded in 2016, FairConnect received a majority-stake investment from Palamon Capital Partners in 2018 (EUR 100M+ committed) and has since expanded through two acquisitions: DriveQuant (2020), a French AI driving analytics firm, and G-Evolution (2021), Groupama's telematics platform. The company now serves more than 200,000 connected subscribers across Swiss, Italian, French, and German carriers including Generali, Cattolica Assicurazioni, and Groupama.
