Founded in 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio, by Laura Bennett and Alex Krooglik, the company underwrites accident and illness policies for dogs and cats through American Modern Insurance Group subsidiaries (American Modern Home Insurance Company and American Southern Home Insurance Company). The company processes claims digitally, with 90% of claims paid within 10 days. In 2024, Embrace processed 1.2 million claims and paid USD 212.5 million in veterinary reimbursements with a 92% coverage rate.
