Eir Forsakring AB is a B2B2C non-life insurance carrier licensed by Sweden's Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and operating across 12 European markets. Founded in 2019 and operational from 2020, the company underwrites motor, property, health, SME, travel, pet, and specialty lines distributed exclusively through a network of 60+ partners -- including digital platforms, affinity groups, and brokers -- who sell under their own brands while Eir carries the underwriting risk.

The carrier operates on a cloud-native, serverless IT architecture with open REST APIs at the core of every partner integration. Underwriting is automated and uses AI-driven risk selection, incorporating real-time telematics data (via partnerships with Greater Than and ABAX) for usage-based motor products. Claims settlement is handled digitally through an integration with Upptec. Partners embed insurance into their own customer journeys without ceding customer ownership to Eir, making the model structurally suited to embedded insurance deployments.

Eir reached profitability in June 2024 and raised a EUR 20M Series A growth round in October 2025, led by Endeit Capital. The company holds non-life insurance licenses in Sweden, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Greece, and other European jurisdictions, expanding its addressable market for pan-European distribution agreements.
