Digit Insurance (Go Digit General Insurance Limited) is a direct-to-consumer digital carrier licensed by the IRDAI (Registration No. 158) and headquartered in Bengaluru, India. Founded in 2016 by Kamesh Goyal, it offers general insurance products across motor, health, travel, home, and commercial lines, as well as life insurance products through its Digit Life Insurance subsidiary. Digit listed on the NSE and BSE in May 2024 after raising INR 2,614.65 crore in its IPO.

The company operates on a digital-first model with AI-powered claims processing, WhatsApp integration across the full customer journey, and 473 active automation bots as of December 2023. Six out of ten cashless health approvals are processed within 20 minutes using AI image recognition and automated decisioning. Digit uses cloud-native infrastructure with AWS CloudFront CDN for content delivery and Adobe Experience Manager for digital asset management.

In FY26, Digit reported revenue of INR 11,294 crore and profit after tax of INR 544 crore (28% growth year-over-year). The company holds a 6.2% motor insurance market share in India as of Q3 FY26 and has issued more than 100 million policies to over 70 million active customers. Digit achieved unicorn status at a USD 4 billion valuation in May 2022 prior to its IPO.
