The company launched in Illinois in 2021 and has since expanded to Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, and New Mexico, distributing through a network of independent agents.

The company underwrites two programs: an artisan contractor auto program for small fleets of 1-10 vehicles and a micro-fleet rideshare program for off-platform TNC operators. Carrier capacity is provided by Stonegate Insurance, Unique Insurance Company, and Redpoint County Mutual Insurance for the contractor program, and by First Acceptance Insurance Company of Tennessee for the rideshare program. Policies are bound digitally in under three minutes through the Appulate quoting platform.

Pouch integrates OBD-II telematics and GPS tracking into its pricing model, offering usage-based per-mile rates that discount premiums for demonstrated safe driving. The company reports over 30,000 vehicles currently covered under its programs. In September 2024, Pouch launched Goodie, an AI-powered multilingual quoting assistant supporting nine languages and deployed through the INSTANDA platform, enabling agents to generate additional quote volume without staff increases.
