Overview
Comin Insurance is a digital-first retail insurance brokerage serving individual consumers across the Middle East, North Africa, and West Africa. The company distributes personal insurance products -- including auto, travel, home, medical, health, and specialty lines -- through a mobile application and web platform.
Founded in 2017 by Raphael Zaccar in Beirut, Lebanon, Comin operates across seven markets: Lebanon, Egypt, Cyprus, Nigeria, Jordan, Sudan, and Iraq. Products are sold and managed entirely through the companys mobile app (available on Google Play) and online platform, without reliance on traditional agent networks. Underlying insurance capacity is provided by Commercial Insurance, a regional insurance provider.
Comin has developed a social impact arm through a microinsurance partnership with World Vision Lebanon and Medicals targeting underserved communities. By end-2023, the program had enrolled 4,471 children from 2,961 families in Lebanon.
