Overview

Camara Paraguaya de Insurtech (CAPI) is a trade association founded in April 2023 that serves the insurtech ecosystem in Paraguay. The organization brings together insurance carriers, technology startups, agents, insurance producers, and regulatory authorities to advance technology adoption in Paraguay's insurance sector.

CAPI runs networking events, conferences, webinars, and training programs for its members, and coordinates regulatory working groups with Paraguay's insurance regulatory authorities. The organization has established a partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) targeting the microenterprise segment, where only 10% of the country's 360,000+ micro and small businesses currently carry insurance coverage.

The chamber operates under the leadership of President Alberto Daniel Duarte Zorrilla and Vice President Jose Fernandez, with founding directors Osvaldo Gimenez, Analia Ramirez, Oscar Saldivar, and Alam Van Humbeeck. Membership includes carriers, technology providers, brokers, and service firms active in the Paraguay insurance market.
