## Overview

Techsurance is an insurance business process outsourcing (BPO) provider for
life and general insurance carriers in India, delivering underwriting,
claims processing, and risk-assessment support across Life & Annuity and
P&C lines. The company operates as an extension of an insurer's own
underwriting and claims teams rather than as a software vendor, taking on
financial and medical underwriting review, claims workflow, health claims
pre-authorization, and general back-office and compliance work on a
contracted basis.

Delivery is staff-based: teams work insurer cases with internal tracking
and quality-check tooling used to manage turnaround time and accuracy, and
system testing support when insurers update product or decision-engine
rules. The company holds ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 9001
(quality management) certification. It was incorporated in October 2021
and began operations in January 2022 with a five-person team.

Techsurance grew to more than 200 staff by March 2024, operating from
offices in Mumbai and Pune. Its client roster spans several of India's
largest life and general insurers, including ICICI Prudential Life, HDFC
Life, Bajaj Life, Tata AIA Life, and Acko General Insurance.
