## Overview

Kacha Digital Financial Services is a mobile-first financial inclusion platform and payment instrument issuer serving consumers in Ethiopia. Licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia (PII/002/2022), the company provides digital payment, remittance, and insurance premium financing services aimed at the unbanked and underbanked population. Kacha has financed approximately 200M ETB in insurance premiums annually and reached 100,000+ users through its insurance and payments products. The company participated in FSD Africa's BimaLab InsurTech Accelerator Programme (2023) and won the VISA Everywhere Initiative award. Institutional investment through the BimaLab Investment Fund is anticipated, structured as a blended junior/senior equity facility led by Zep Re.
