## Overview

FWD Group is a pan-Asian life insurance group headquartered in Hong Kong, founded in 2013 as the insurance platform of Pacific Century Group. FWD was established when controlling shareholder Richard Li acquired life insurance businesses in Hong Kong, Macau, and Thailand from ING Group. Since then, FWD has expanded to operate across 10 Asian markets, with a stated mission to change the way people feel about insurance. By 2021, FWD managed approximately USD 63 billion in assets and employed over 6,100 people.
