docTeller is a document intelligence platform for insurance carriers, automating the classification and data extraction of underwriting documents across life, disability, auto, and home insurance lines. docTeller originated in 2020 as an internal automation project for Groupama, one of France's largest mutual insurance groups. The company was subsequently spun off as an independent entity with Groupama retaining a majority equity stake. The platform currently processes over 6 million pages annually in production, with confirmed clients including Groupama and its life and health insurance subsidiary GGVIE.
