Founded in 2018 by Carl Pursiano, the company built the Risk X insurtech platform to enable wholesale brokers to quote and bind specialty insurance products for commercial customers.

The company focused on management liability lines including private company D&O and miscellaneous professional liability, distributing through a nationwide wholesale broker network. Backed by Innovisk Capital Partners, Celerity Pro grew its specialty MGA operations before its parent investor was acquired by Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers.

In February 2025, Celerity Pro was merged with CorRisk Solutions under Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers to form Celerity Risk, combining management liability and professional liability underwriting capabilities. The combined entity operates under the Ryan Specialty umbrella with expanded capacity and distribution.
