## Overview

Bindcover is a B2B digital marketplace platform for insurance brokers and underwriters in Indonesia. Operating under the legal entity PT BCI Digital Asia, the company provides a web-based platform for digital risk placement, allowing licensed brokers to submit commercial insurance risks to a pool of underwriters who can quote and accept placements in real time. The company was founded in 2018 by Victor Roy Teguh, drawing on the Lloyd's of London market model as inspiration for the Indonesian insurance ecosystem.

The platform supports both private placements between known counterparties and public placements open to all licensed marketplace participants. It replaces manual, email-based placement workflows with structured digital processes, reporting up to 50% reduction in risk placement processing time. In February 2020, Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) registered Bindcover as the prototype in its Digital Financial Innovation regulatory sandbox under the Insurance Broker Marketplace cluster -- the only company in this classification. Optional API connectivity enables integration with existing broker and underwriter systems.

In addition to its core marketplace, Bindcover offers claim advisory services for Indonesian retail insurance disputes, and a distribution feature that connects insurance prospects with nearby licensed advisors. The company received pre-seed funding from Canadian investor Loyal Ventures in July 2021.
