## Overview

Aimsoft is a policy administration and insurance management software provider serving insurance carriers across East and Central Africa. Founded in 2001 in Nairobi, Kenya, the company develops and supports the AIMS (Advanced Information Management System) suite, which covers general (P&C), life, medical, and financial operations for regional insurers. Aimsoft acquired the rights to the AIMS platform from Amarco Kenya Limited at founding and has built out its product line over more than two decades.

Deployment is primarily on-premise, with cloud-enabled options available.

Aimsoft serves more than 28 insurance organizations across 8 African countries -- Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe. Clients include multinational and regional carriers such as Britam Insurance, CIC Group, Sanlam, and Old Mutual, several of which operate Aimsoft systems across multiple country offices. The company is privately held and operates on a revenue-funded basis.
